My Approach

No Inner War. Nothing to Defeat.

Most of what's out there tells you to try harder. More discipline. More accountability. More willpower. Or it hands you more information: another book, another sermon, another study. Both quietly tell you the same thing: part of you is the enemy, now overpower it. That's how you end up at war with yourself. I don't do that.

How It Works

I take the part of you that you hate and find what it's protecting.

Every part of you is welcome

The resistance, the anger, the shutdown, the numbing out. We find what each part is actually trying to protect.

Working together, not against each other

That part and the rest of you learn to work together. No inner war. Nothing to defeat.

Uncovering, not rebuilding

I don't build a new identity into people. Like an archaeologist, I uncover the one God already put there. You're not broken. You're covered.

A licensed professional counselor.
Not a weekend-certified coach.

Master's level training and years of clinical work, including inpatient psychiatric care. That means I can go deeper than most people in this space are trained to go, and I know exactly where the line is.

FAQ

Common Questions

What's the difference between counseling and coaching?

Counseling is for those who are seeing behaviors, emotions, or thoughts that are creating disorder in life. Coaching is for those who don't feel like they need counseling, just help or direction to be who they want to be or to reach a goal. Think of it like a sports coach: the coach develops the player and maximizes the outcome of their ability. A life coach does the same for your life.

How much does counseling cost?

Counseling sessions are $130 for 50 minutes, and a sliding scale is available. Reaching out to ask about the sliding scale is always welcome.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. I offer a free 15-minute consult call for counseling, and a free discovery call for coaching. It's a no-pressure conversation to see if we're a good fit.

Can we meet online?

Yes. Counseling is available online and in person in Tyler, Texas. Coaching through Masterpiece Revealed is fully online.
